Explicit Detail Sneaky Snippet

Rushing around the kitchen counter, the cold water that Flick had just consumed flooded to her fingers and toes, splintering them with ice.

The door slammed, and she stopped. Rushe dumped something, then with three daunting footfalls he was there, fifteen feet from her, in the unlit apartment.

She should have put something on her feet, because in sharing this open space with his tall, broad form she felt puny. All the fireworks of emotions she’d endured tonight struck her dumb, leaving her unsure where to start, or what to say.

Rushe didn’t speak either. He shrugged his shoulders back to free himself of his leather jacket then tossed it in the direction of the door, all the while observing her, scrutinising her figure that he knew so well.

‘Take it off.’ His words rumbled through the walls of the apartment, vibrating her every atom.

Flick had things to say, things to ask, but this wasn’t a Rushe to be reasoned with, and right now the power of speech had vacated her. Taking her hands to her shoulders, Flick trailed the fine spaghetti straps of her camisole off and let the pale fabric shimmer away from her body.

A quick note to say that Explicit Instruction is still holding at number one in Canada in the romantic suspense category. We made it all the way to number two in the paid Kindle store, and all the way to number one in contemporary romance too! Canada, I am but your servant. Thanks guys!

‘I don’t think so,’ Lacie said.
‘Why not?’
‘I don’t... I’ve never... I don’t even know if Ryder’s into that,’ Lacie said. ‘He likes me naked. I think lingerie would just get in the way.’
‘Every man likes lingerie on his partner,’ Sorcha said.

‘You wouldn’t understand it,’ he said.

‘Of course not,’ Flick said folding her arms. ‘I’m just a walking vagina.’

‘With a hell of a mouth.’

Sneaky Snippet of Explicit Instruction description - amended

Finding herself stranded and searching for a phone, Flick inadvertently walks into danger. Flick quickly finds herself living a nightmare, until an unexpected reprieve comes in the form of a stranger, a looming silhouette who may be more terrifying than the evil that captured her. She learns that danger has an alias, Rushe. He is abrupt, crude, domineering...and he is her only hope for survival.
With freedom a distant memory, the further into the criminal plot she is drawn, and the deeper her entanglement with Rushe becomes. As Flick learns more about the horrifying drama she has stumbled into, and the mysterious man who inexplicably protects her, she realizes that it's not only her life she is battling for, it's her heart as well.

‘Will you drop me off?’ Lacie asked Ryder.

‘I’ll leave you the truck and drive you home,’ Ryder said. ‘We’re working security.’

‘What?’ Sorcha screeched.

‘We’ve done Reynolds events for years,’ Ryder said. ‘They’ve not been impressed with the other contractors they’ve used while SW’s been on hiatus. Your father called me this morning. I didn’t want him to beg, he was offering big bucks – five times what we usually charge.’

‘You’re extorting my father?’ Sorcha asked.

‘I’m not taking the money,’ Ryder said. ‘I told the story to demonstrate how desperate he was.’

‘Sounds like my dad alright, always wanting the best of the best.’

‘Why Sorcha, are you paying me a compliment?’ Ryder asked.
